Just a few hours ago, I sat in my quiet morning devotions, and I was overwhelmed with a sense of awe. The kindness of Jesus left me breathless, and my heart overflowed with gratitude and love. It was as if the weight of the world had been lifted off my shoulders, and I was free to dance in the joy of His presence.
In that moment, I was reminded of a profound truth:
Jesus' scars are more significant than mine. His love is more profound than my fears. And His peace is more powerful than my doubts.
As I reflected on this truth, I realized that it's easy to get caught up in our own struggles and forget that we're not alone. We have a Savior who has walked in our shoes, who has borne our sins, and who has risen again to give us new life.
As I basked in the warmth of God's love, I thought about the countless times He has shown up in my life. The times He has whispered words of comfort in the darkness. The times He has provided for my needs when I thought all was lost. And the times He has given me the strength to keep going when I felt like giving up.
Just a few hours ago, I knew that I'm not just a recipient of God's love, but also a vessel to pour out that love to others. I was reminded that my reality is not defined by my circumstances, but by the fact that I am known and loved by God. And that truth has the power to transform every area of my life.
As I looked around my quiet morning space, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. It was as if the world outside had melted away, and all that was left was Jesus and me, dancing in the joy of His presence.
And that's when it hit me: this is what it means to live a life of gratitude and love.
I want to leave you with a challenge: take a moment to reflect on the kindness of Jesus in your life. Think about the times He has shown up, the times He has provided, and the times He has given you the strength to keep going. Write down three things you're grateful for. And as you do, I pray that you'll be filled with a sense of gratitude and love, and that you'll be inspired to live a life that reflects the kindness of Jesus.
Take this from me:
once you start practicing gratitude, like really praising God in everything, you begin to see the good side of things that went badly. And the peace that comes with it.
Reflection Verse: Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1).
My reality: Whatever this day holds, I am held and that is enough. I am kept, and so dearly loved. And beloved, so are you!
How will you allow this to shape your day?
Love,
