Valentine's day chronicle

Dear Gentle Reader, Today, I write to you with great gladness in my heart. This is my first romantic Valentine's celebration, and I can't stop smiling and grinning.

Meanwhile, If you've been judging me from my post on my social media platforms about me being single, you're wrong; if you think I'm in a relationship too, you're wrong; and if you think I'm married then you might also be wrong… Anyhoo we are about to find out today.

Today is Valentine's Day and I must confess this is the best Valentine's day for me. How do I mean? You're about to find out #winks

Today I woke up extremely late and I didn't join my parents for morning devotion; reason because I had a late night. I usually pray and study my Bible after the Hallelujah Challenge, and last night took longer. It's Lovers Day remember, and as a lady married to Jesus, I had to profess love to My lover today, so I spent more time in prayer and journalling, I checked the time when I finished and it was 4am. That's why I got up late. I woke up around past 9 and all I wanted to do was go back to bed and sleep some more but then #PovertySmiledAtMe. I remembered I was broke and money has to be made so I can travel round the world and get nice things for myself. So I sluggishly stood up and said a little prayer.

I picked up my phone, turned on the MP3, and played my morning jam, “Alone by Anendlessocean"

Then I proceed to make my bed when my mother entered the room.

Rebirth Nwa, How are you? How did the vigil go? ... She asked, smiling.

I am fine. Good morning, Ma.

Will you still go to the shop today? She asked.

I glanced at her, like, "Yes, na." What happened?

Nothing, oo, I just want to know. I fried plantain for you as you no dey chop beans na. There's fish inside nylon for your Rio.

She seemed really excited today. More than usual.

Maybe her husband has done something special for her as it's lovers Day (I'm not sure, but that's none of our concern).

Moving on, I did some washing and then had my bath. I opted to wear my red gown because it was Valentine's Day. So, why not?

I applied lipgloss and laid my edges, which is the extent of my make-up skills. Giving Hot chick vibe 🔥🔥

My mom came inside and informed me that some people were waiting for me outside.

Me? Which people? Man or woman? I asked..

She answered, "Come out and see for yourself."

I wasn't expecting anyone, so I took my time dressing up Wella and just in case it's future husband I don't want to be caught un-fresh.

My mother entered again. you never finish your dressing? Do fast, jor, wetin you dey dress self. Uncle Paul is calling you oh, he is in the sitting room

Uncle Paul?? The one in Canada?

I dashed out of my room to find out.

As soon as I stepped out, I saw my uncle looking really good and fresh, he greeted me with a warm hug, looked at me with joy, complimented my skin and congratulated me on my achievements thus far. I was so happy to see him again, cause it's been ages, we only communicate via phone. We were still exchanging pleasantries when I heard Happy Valentine's Day, Miss Rebirth. I noticed strange faces smiling at me.

Awwwn! I was blushing really hard. My uncle is so nice abeg.

One of the ladies handed me both the rose bouquet and the money bouquet in her hands.

You dey whine me?? Uncle Paul all this for me?

My uncle said, This person is really a gentleman, he must be nice. When is he coming to see us na?

Which person? Uncle Paul you're the gentleman na, I know you planned this jor… please stop pulling my legs.

He said, they ain't from him..

Wait, You didn't arrange this? I looked at him and then my mom. They said they had no idea.

Wow, so who sent them?? I asked

This was quite unexpected. I wasn't sure who sent it. I was single to stupor, with no talking stages at all. So, who is this secret admirer, who is this gentleman?

In the real sense, I know this individual must have planned this with my mother. She was aware, but she refrained from saying anything. I tried to get a hint from her, but she avoided eye contact and appeared surprised, as if she didn't know.

The second lady gave me a box and a card. I noticed a meal tray on the table. This individual knows me too well. Food!!! This man has already stolen my heart.

They popped confetti.

My god! I was finally in tears. "Hard girl, hard girl," I sobbed. (D.J play me “So This is love!")

I truly wanted to know who did it.

My mom was just saying, God will bless this person ohh. God bless you, people, too. Thank you for making my daughter smile today. Thank you!!

Wow, wow! I'll find out eventually.

Wherever you are, young man, I will find you and marry you! For making me so happy today, I definitely will marry you, don't worry.

For the first time ever, I received gifts on Valentine's Day. Wow!!!!! I'm screaming, I'm so excited. I have not yet posted about it. I said to gist you first as a VIP buddy that you are. Yeah!!
